Fraud and manipulation abound in the Church under the pretence of what claims to be the work of the Holy Spirit. Excellent things are often counterfeited and the more worthy something is the more destructive is its abuse. False prophets and teachers deprive us of liberty and the only way to tackle this is to clearly explain the nature and work of the Holy Spirit, whose work did not end at Pentecost - for it if did this all faith in Christ would cease. The Spirit of God still continues to work in the heart of men convicting them of sin, producing godly sorrow and humility, regenerating and sanctifying and supplying grace and helping in prayer.
