Earth's past is littered with the mysterious and the unexplained: Easter Island, the pyramids, Stonehenge and the dinosaurs and the list go on and on as science looks for clues on how to decipher these puzzles.
One such mystery is the woolly mammoth and Michael Oard has studied this creature along with the period it came from, the Ice Age, for many years and he has come to some fascinating conclusions to help solve some of the puzzles surrounding this mystery.
He looks at what caused the cold summer temperatures and heavy snowfalls to persist for hundreds of years and why did mammoths along with many other mammals become extinct all at the same time.
