This volume, compiled and edited by Campbell Morgan’s daughter-in-law Jill, is a selection of the letters Campbell Morgan received and answers given on many varied subjects throughout his ministry.
It should be kept in mind that this book is by no means in the nature of an exhaustive treatise on any subject, Biblical or ethical. Instead, this volume contains some of his answers to some of the questions that people asked in writing. Not all the questions and answers are included for in many case the same questions was, and of course the answers are almost identical. However, the contents of the book does reveal a cross-section of the serious thinking of people who wanted honest answers and practical help in understanding the Scriptures and in solving the problems that our universal among believers the world over.
In all controversial matters, as in Biblical exegesis, all conclusions were based on the word of God rather than on man-made opinions and theories. Dr Morgan never claimed to have the answer to all mysteries, however on the basis of consecrated and continuous study, and on prayerful investigation of Scripture, he was always “ready to give answer to every man” who asked him “a reason concerning the hope” that was in him, “and yet with meekness and fear.”
