At Break of Day - Daily Meditations by Fred Mitchell.
Each morning, “at break of day” Fred Mitchell, formerly Home Director in Britain of the China Inland Mission, would take his Bible and “Daily Light” and after a period of meditation on the texts selected for the day, would commit to writing the spiritual food which nourished his own soul. These messages, so full of wise counsel and discerning comment, will bring a similar blessing to all who read them.
“Let us bring ourselves to God again,” he writes, “as we read and tell the Lord we accept His ideal and present ourselves for an answer to these prayers. In doing so, our hearts will be established in peace, and the process of our practical sanctification will be continued and deepened in preparation for the day when we meet our Lord face to face. There is sufficient grace for this and more.”
