A Preacher’s Life of Christ by George B Duncan.
When he was asked to write a book to be called “A Preacher’s Life of Christ” he was confronted with two problems. Firstly was the impossibility of compressing into one book, or even a fraction of the whole story of the life of Christ which changed the whole world. So if the reader is looking for a book on the meaning of the birth, life and death to people today, then it was the author’s desire is that the reader will not be disappointed.
Secondly in many quarters preaching is regarded as something which is out of date. But as someone has said “Wherever we find a vital living congregation, we will find at its centre, vital preaching.” As the author has spent his life preaching God’s he knows that people are hungry to hear what God has to say and what God has revealed of His mind and will through the person of Jesus Christ.
This the aim of the book, to demonstrate to the reader the life of Christ through the words of a faithful preacher.
